Payment and booking
Full hire charges, transport charges and bond must be paid and cleared before the equipment is released. A booking remains subject to confirmed availability and completion of required documents.
Identification
The hirer must provide current photo identification and accurate contact and site details.
Bond
A $500 bond applies unless otherwise quoted. Return is generally processed within 48 hours after post-hire inspection, subject to deductions permitted by the signed agreement.
Fuel and cleaning
Equipment must return full of diesel and reasonably clean. Missing fuel may be charged at $5.50 per litre and excess cleaning at $120 per hour.
Damage, loss and misuse
The hirer is responsible for loss, damage, misuse, theft, recovery and associated costs to the extent stated in the signed agreement and permitted by law.
Safe operation
Only competent, authorised operators may use the equipment. The hirer must follow laws, site requirements and manufacturer instructions, locate underground services and obtain approvals before digging.
Cancellations
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required. A 15% cancellation fee applies under the proposed terms, subject to Australian Consumer Law.
Pickup and delivery
The U17-3 is customer pickup and return. The KX161-3 is delivered and collected using arranged transport, charged to the hirer.
Breakdowns
Stop using the equipment and contact Sunshine State Hire immediately. Unauthorised repairs are not permitted.
