Information we collect

We may collect your name, contact details, job location, hire dates, photo identification, payment records, equipment condition photographs and information supplied during an enquiry or booking.

How we use information

Information is used to respond to enquiries, assess bookings, verify hirers, administer payment, document equipment condition and communicate about the hire.

Online hire agreements

Information entered in the online hire agreement, including typed electronic signatures, is sent to the Sunshine State Hire bookings email address for assessment and administration of the hire. Do not enter payment-card details in the online form.

Online payments

Online card payments are processed by our secure payment provider. The Sunshine State Hire website sends the confirmed booking reference, hire selections, customer contact details and payable amount to the provider, but does not directly receive or store complete payment-card numbers. The payment provider handles card information, fraud controls, payment records and payouts under its own privacy and security practices.

Storage and disclosure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. Information may be shared with insurers, advisers, payment providers, mechanics, transport or recovery providers where reasonably necessary, or where required by law.
